The Media Music Producer program at the musicube academy covers a wide range of topics based on well-established content. The curriculum is structured in a way that allows the decision regarding a professional emphasis (sound design, music production, or audio engineering) to be made at a later time after learning more about each field. The year-long Media Music program lays the technical and musical foundations for a career as a music producer, media composer, composer for games music or sound mixer / audio engineer.
The curriculum in the “Media Music Producer” study year is a balanced combination of theory and practice. Theoretical foundations are tested by the participants in practice and implemented into individual productions.
During this study year, participants engage with the structures of the bachelor’s program through workshops and guest lecturers, preparing them ideally for the program.

The admissions criteria for acceptance into the Media Music Composer program are relatively low compared to the other programs. It is not the aim of this course of study to work with polished musicians and audio technicians. However, this makes the basic qualifications for jobs in these fields that much more important. These include ambition, the ability to work as part of a team, staying power, a high degree of motivation for the subjects of music and sound, and of course an interest in visual media.
This program is for young people who know that music is going to play a central role in their careers but might need a little more time to get their bearings in the field. In the meantime, they can learn the basics of the branch and lay the groundwork for their future careers.
General knowledge of computers (Mac OS / PC)
Technical experience in the audio field
Musical experience (especially with an instrument)
