The time has come: the studio of the musicube academy is now equipped with a Dolby Atmos system and officially Dolby enabled. This is something we can truly be proud of, as there are only 70 studios in all of Germany that have received this accolade. Most of these studios, however, work in the post-production sector rather than in composition/music production. So, what makes this special is that we can not only create 3D sounds and, of course, 3D music, but also compose from the conductor’s position, or from any other acoustic situation. The sound on the MIDI level then sounds just like in a real concert hall, but also with synthesizers or dry grooves, depending on what is preferred at the moment. This way, it is now possible to recreate all acoustic conditions and creatively redesign them.
New possibilities also arise for the workflow: with the Dolby Atmos Renderer, all other formats (7.1, 5.1, 3.1, stereo, binaural) can now be rendered with just one click, without having to create new mixes.
